YOUNG AND COMPASSIONATE Maria Lyla
'Ging' Luciano displays the pledge sheet she had diligently
worked hard to complete for the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
The six-year old volunteer participated in the Heart &
Stroke Jump Rope for Heart event on May 9, 2007 through
her school, where she is a first grader in French immersion.
She is dedicating her jump to her Tita Ching Esguerra,
right. At left is Divine Montesclaros, one of Ching's
best friends, who donated as sponsor. Jump Rope for Heart
is a unique and fun event of the Heart & Stroke Foundation
that gets kids physically active and raises funds to reduce
the devastating effects of heart disease and stroke. The
trilingual youngster born in Montreal, aside from enjoying
volunteer work , loves to sing songs in Tagalog, English
and French.
